The features that deliver real learner outcomes now: AI-powered doubt resolution (saves faculty time, available 24/7), adaptive question difficulty based on performance, auto-generated quiz questions from course content, and AI-summarised lecture notes. The 'AI tutor' vision is still 2-3 years from being truly effective at scale.
There's significant hype about AI in education — personalised learning paths, AI teachers replacing faculty, instant feedback on open-ended assignments. Some of this is real today; much is still 2-3 years away from being reliably effective at scale. Here's an honest assessment.
