Non-life insurance premiums rose 8.9% to ₹1.8 lakh crore in April-September 2026, with standalone health insurers posting 30.69% growth, per General Insurance Association data. Insurtech builders should note that health insurance is now the growth engine—claim automation, underwriting AI, and distribution tech will see capital concentration in this segment through 2027.
