Telecom operators to show KYC-verified caller names from November 1

Telecom operators must display KYC-linked names of incoming callers nationwide from November 1, under a Department of Telecommunications circular dated October 15, 2026. The Caller Name Presentation requirement was piloted through much of 2025. Operators must avoid affecting call quality and cannot retain the displayed names in any way. Users who got SIMs as minors under a parent's name will show their parents' names, requiring an ownership transfer.
