WHO finds inequality drives uneven NCD burden across population groups

A new WHO study finds that non-communicable diseases, including cancer and diabetes, affect population groups unevenly based on socio-economic status, education and geographical location. The report urges governments to act on health inequalities. The findings come from the WHO's study released October 21, 2026.
