AIIMS Gets Rs 30Cr Nod For Biosafety Level Three Lab

AIIMS Nagpur has received a Rs 30 crore sanction from NCDC for a BSL-III laboratory to detect high-risk infections. The lab is expected to be operational in about a year, according to executive director Prashant Joshi, as reported by ET HealthWorld on 26 October 2026. VRDL will also be upgraded to IRDL with Rs 17 crore for wider testing.
