Amazon rolls out text-based shopping through Alexa

Amazon has rolled out a new text feature through Alexa that lets users research and compare products, track deals and price drops, and have Alexa for Shopping complete purchases on their behalf. ET Tech reported the launch on 7 November 2026. The feature extends Alexa's shopping role from voice into text-based conversation, with Alexa handling the purchase itself.
