OpenAI to press ahead with data-centre expansion despite midterm sweep, CFO says

Fears of tighter scrutiny after a Democratic midterm sweep wiped about $2.5 trillion off the US stock market on Thursday. OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar told CNBC on Friday that the company will still press ahead with its US data-centre expansion. OpenAI has also said it will stop using non-disclosure agreements with public officials when discussing future sites and will give residents access to construction plans and their potential effects.
