How we got this number

  1. Read UIDAI Circular no. 15 of 2025, dated 8 December 2025, which sets the fee for each authentication type from 1 November 2025.
  2. Take the eKYC row for KUAs and sub-KUAs other than telecom providers: ₹3.60 for a successful transaction and ₹0.60 for a failed one, both inclusive of taxes.
  3. Take the Yes/No row for all AUAs, sub-AUAs, KUAs and sub-KUAs: ₹0.60, no change. Compare the old column (up to 31 October 2025) with the new one to see the change.

What this number does not tell you

  • The circular covers requesting entities other than Telecom Service Providers. It does not print a rate for telecom providers.
  • The circular lists two authentication types, eKYC and Yes/No. It does not print a separate fee for other types, so this page does not give one.
  • These are UIDAI's fees to the requesting entity (AUA, KUA and their sub-entities). A KYC vendor or API provider sets its own price to its customers; no vendor price is given here.
  • UIDAI says the charges are revised after every twenty-four calendar months in proportion to the Consumer Price Index (General, Combined). The next revision will not be before then.
  • The September 2021 Business Today report speaks of authentication in general, not eKYC alone, and gives no effective date. It is context, not the current rate.
